House of the Virgin Mary
- The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the
Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was
found when the ruins of the house were first
discovered.
Itinerary
:
After
departing from Kusadasi we drive
north to town Selcuk. Passing by the
ancient city of Ephesus we continue
up to the House of Virgin Mary.
There we get brief information about
the site and shrine then participate
in the Mass Service. At the end of
the Service we have a short free
time and then drive to the Cave of
Seven Sleepers. After having visited
the site we drive back to Kusadasi.
